She was in the garden....dancing in her dark skin
and i...i was in the river....busy as a beaver
she sung the sweetest song....like a humming bird after the storm
and i....knew i had to see her.... she her to believe her
whoa sunshine hair...her big eyes like blue skies
i could not believe it everything was choked
and my blood shot through my veins like a lightning bolt
she said hey hey, who are you...i've never seen a wild boy like you
and i... said i was a dreamer...and i dreamt i was your lover
the sun went down...and our shadows grow longer
and we look like giants as we make our way home
as we make our way home....
i taught her how to swim there
she showed me how to braid her hair
and i...could do it for hours..it smelt just like the flowers
i showed her i could crack my bones..
two cans and a string make up a telephone..
i whispered down the line to her.. that i could see you smiling
the sun went down...and our shadows grow longer
and we look like giants as we make our way home
as we make our way home....
She wore a flower crown...she was swinging upside down..
and i said that i could do that too...
but not quite as good as you..but not quite as good as you
the sun went down...and our shadows grow longer
and we look like giants as we make our way home
as we make our way home....
