High Rise

by George Diaz (George Diaz)

One love to another, each one will cut with something new

Soon he will discover, each time there's less to offer you

Go run back to mother, ain't she the reason you're so screwed?

Not the soft-touch brother, always the runner of the two

So scan the mind while machines keep it cold

Still no vital signs of the kid you've known

He's on borrowed time, this body's just a mould

Found a blurred line, he said the terms were mine

There's a boy in a high-rise

calling out for a life line

Turn a blind eye

Another man in a cold light

Stepping out for the last time

Said he would be fine

Break the door down, pull the final fuse

Blow the lights out, broken long before we knew

So scan the mind while machines keep it cold

Still no vital signs of the kid you've known

He's on borrowed time, this body's just a mould

Found a blurred line, he said the terms were mine

There's a boy in a high-rise

calling out for a life line

Turn a blind eye

Another man in a cold light

Stepping out for the last time

Said he would be fine

Don't say there's a reason for it, we shouldn't be here x2

There's a boy in a high-rise

calling out for a life line

Turn a blind eye

Another man in a cold light

Stepping out for the last time

Said he would be fine x2
