How Are You?

by Dylan Brady, Kyle Clark, Sydney Cubit (Dylan Brady)

You were walking in while I was walking out

I know I should be bulletproof by now

But I took one to the heart

The second I saw your face

How’s your dad hows your brother and hows your mom?

You were talking like it didn’t hurt you at all

Said it was nice catching up

But I wanted to say

How are you better than you’ve ever been?

How are you not dyin just a little bit?

I’m just tryina figure out, how are you so happy now?

How are you going out and having fun?

How are you oh how are you not still in love?

But I just bit my tongue and smiled

Said I’m good, that’s it’s been a while, how are you?

Cause what’s the point of you’re already to the point,

where is it isn’t a lie when you say you’re fine?

I played the part and said everything I’m supposed to

pretending every part of me didn’t wanna ask you

How are you better than you’ve ever been?

How are you not dyin just a little bit?

I’m just tryina figure out, how are you so happy now?

How are you going out and having fun?

How are you oh how are you not still in love?

But I just bit my tongue and smiled

Said I’m good, that’s it’s been a while, how are you?

How are you now waking up

Every night like I do

I’m nowhere close to over us

so baby how are you?

How are you better than you’ve ever been?

How are you not dyin just a little bit?

I’m just tryina figure out, how are you so happy now?

How are you going out and having fun?

How are you oh how are you not still in love?

But I just bit my tongue and smiled

Said I’m good, that’s it’s been a while, how are you?
